They danced the night away, swept up in each other’s arms. Friends and family surrounding them on each side. The Royal Dukes blasting their favorite songs with a vibrancy that could be felt in every inch of the venue. In a room surrounded by their loved ones, Kristen and Tyler only saw one another. This is the day they had be waiting for. The day where they looked deeply into one another’s eyes and said, “I do.”
Its amazing to see two people who met in college begin to grow a life together. Not so long ago, they were focused on passing classes, enjoying their sorority and fraternity functions and dreaming of the day that they would start a life together. Today’s wedding was a culmination of all this hard work. A day that held so much meaning; sealed with a kiss.
When I first met Kristen and Tyler over video chat, I knew instantly that they were perfect for one another. There is a light inside Kristen and Tyler that shines. The moment you put them together, the flame burns ever more brightly. They bring out the best in one another. They choose to celebrate each other’s differences, their strengths and they support their choices.
One of my favorite moments of a wedding day is when everyone is separated, getting ready for the ceremony. Its a moment that is filled with so much excitement and promise. When I arrived at the Bowden, Tyler was soooo ready to marry Kristen! You could see him beaming from ear to ear as he and his best friends gathered in the groom’s suite. And when Kristen arrived, she and her gal pals felt the same. Popping the champagne with the giddiest of smiles.
A celebration. That is what today was.
A celebration of Tyler and Kristen’s love for one another. As they dance into their future, here’s a sneak peak into their wedding day.
Tyler & Kristen,
Thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer. I have loved working with you two over the last few months. You guys quickly felt like friends to me and I am so proud of you both. Your wedding day was a dream that I hope you guys get to keep reliving through your photographs. I loved every minute of your day.
You are so lucky to be surrounded by such supportive families. Your parents are both so amazing and I will never stop laughing out loud over Tyler’s dad putting on a mulletted cowboy hat dancing with your brother.
I wish you many years of happiness, surrounded by what is sure to be the cutest children on the planet.
Cheers to you!
