Hunter and I connected a few weeks ago as he was planning out an amazing surprise proposal for Rachel.  I could tell right away that this was something he had been thinking about for quite some time and had an adventure set for her.  She started off her day meeting a friend for brunch to be given a card from the barista.  This card was no ordinary card.  It was a card that would start a chain of events that would change her life forever.

As she followed the clues in the note, she quickly realized something big was about to happen.  Each location she was sent to included another one of her best friends holding a special note from Hunter with another set of clues.

I mean, come on!!!  How cuter can you get?!?!  Hunter, supported by friends and family, was able to create a well timed out special trip down memory lane for the love of his life.

I arrived to White Rock Lake to find a secluded dock that I have never noticed before decorated with care with lanterns, flowers and a sign that simply said, “Rachel.”  Hunter, a ball of nerves, was spending the last few moments with his dad before he surprised Rachel.

I could tell right away that this family was special.  The way his mom and dad supported each decision with such care and precision was heart warming.

We were minutes away from Rachel arriving, so all of us wished him luck and scattered off into the park.  Each of us knew she was getting close and we were sooo excited to see her drive up with a friend.  Hunter came out to greet her and you could tell right away that she knew what was happening.  A nervous giggle could be heard all the way up the hill where we were staked out.  🙂

Hunter’s proposal was sweetly thought out.  He led Rachel to a private area, played her a song that he wrote and asked her to spend the rest of her days with him.  And she said,”YES!!!!!”

Guys, I cannot begin to tell you how sweet this moment was for not just Hunter and Rachel, but for everyone else involved.  All the support and love for these two couldn’t have been more obvious.

Thank you for allowing me to be a piece of your puzzle for the day.  I am beyond blessed to have met you both.  Your lives together are going to be full of laughter, love and magic.  🙂  May you always come back to one another and reminisce on this journey you have created together.  The steps you took today to submit your lives to the other.
